Sphynx

 Sphynx

Almost completely lacking fur, the Sphynx is frequently a topic of fascinated conversation.

A relatively young breed, the Sphynx originated in Canada in 1966 and, although hairless breeds have been reported in other parts of the world, the Sphynx is arguably the only one with characteristics considered worth perpetuating.

While appearing hairless, the Sphynx is in fact covered in short fine down giving it a soft chamois like feel, while the skin features a truly unique colour, pigmentation and pattern.

Usually of medium height, with distinctly large eyes and ears, the Sphynx's body is hard and muscular with slim legs, a slender neck and a long head.

Outgoing and intelligent, the Sphynx is also 'blessed' with a mischievous side to their personality.
