The Bengal is a medium to large animal that was developed by crossing a Domestic cat with a small Asian leopard breed in an attempt to create an exotic looking animal with a stable temperament.
Its beautiful coat is perhaps it's most striking characteristic and is made up of many subtle shades ranging from gold to ivory. Some patterns include stunning rosettes and spots made-up of more than one colour - usually a secondary colour forming a dark outlining to the spot.
The Bengal is an extremely intelligent animal and has a lively personality. However, the energetic Bengal is not for people who just want a leopard print cat for decoration. They are constantly on the move, but ideal for anyone who wants to interact and play with their cat on a daily basis.
